The contemporary association Gioiellodentro in collaboration with the Municipality of Nogaredo, Department of Culture, is pleased to present the call for the Third Edition of the Rassegna Wooden: Natural Treasures.
The exhibition aims to enhance the art of wooden jewelry, presenting to the public works of artists who have been able to create masterpieces using this material.
It’s open to all artists who have created original, high-quality jewelry.
HISTORY OF THE PROJECT
The project Rassegna Wooden was born in 2018 from the idea of the event manager and curator Francesca Canapa, with the aim of enhancing the wood this precious material. The task of the selected artists was to transform it into a jewellery, unique pieces rich in stories. These stories in the second edition became international thanks to the works of artists from: Argentina, Belgium, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Nuevo Leon Mexico, Netherlands, Serbia, Spain and the United States. The exhibition Wooden showed a character of stability that led to the growth of the project itself, with the opening in this third edition, towards other artistic disciplines : photography, sculpture, and installations.
THE EXHIBITION SEAT
Palazzo Candelpergher dominates the square of Nogaredo, it is an exhibition space and is also the seat of the Municipality of Nogaredo. In its halls “ Sala delle Vele” various exhibition events are made
WHERE and WHEN
The exhibition of the finalist works will take place in Nogaredo at the Candelpergher Palace from 8th to 24th September 2023.
The inauguration will be held on September 8th 2023 at 18:00.
THE THEME
The theme of the exhibition is wood.
It is required to make jewellery mainly in wood, but the use of other materials is also allowed.
Jewellery with a height of more than two centimeters, and lengths and width of more than thirty centimeters will not be allowed.
ORGANIZATION
The organization is entrusted to the curator Francesca Canapa with the collaboration and contemporary association Gioiellodentro
All the selected works will be published on the Gioiellodentro website and on our social media pages. The exhibition will be promoted on the web, will be made custom graphics and a promotional video with images of selected jewelry.
JURY
The selection of the works will be made by an artistic jury.
Curator and Jury President Francesca Canapa.
After a first selection of the requests to participate, the chosen artists will be asked to send the work for the creation of a collective exhibition.
HOW TO PARTECIPATE
Access to the selection is free.
Send the following information to the email address:

1) Photo (dpi jpeg format) of max two jewellery
2) Word file with title, a brief description of materials and works
3) File word: with the biography of the artist
REGISTRATION FEE
The fee must be paid only if selected by the organizers.
The participation fee includes: curate, graphic design, graphics, photo shoot to selected works, flyer, set-up, uninstall, images and communications on social media, exhibition at Palazzo Candelpergher.
The participation fee, to partially cover the organization costs, is € 90.00 for 1 candidate work, € 150.00 for 2 candidate works, to be paid only upon confirmation of the selection made. If the payment is not made within the established time, the artist will be excluded from the Exhibition.
DEADLINE and TERMS
8th AUGUST 2023 deadline for the request for participation.
At the end of the exhibition the artists will be contacted by mail to arrange the collection of the works.
TRANSPORTATION COSTS
(round trip)
Transport costs (round trip) and any insurance of the works are at the expense of the Artists. The contemporary association Gioiellodentro declines all responsibility for any delay, loss, failure to deliver or damage to packages/works arising from shipping and transport by courier or post.
RETURN OF THE WORK
Will be notified by e-mail to the participants the start date made it work.
The withdrawal is the responsibility of the artists.
CANCELLATION
After the stated date of selection and payments have been made, if the participant decides not be included for any reason in the exhibition there is no possibility of a refund.
LIABILITY
The contemporary Association Gioiellodentro while ensuring the utmost care and custody of the works, is not responsible for any theft, fire or damage of any nature that may occur during all stages of the event. Any requests for insurance will be supported by the artist only. We invite artists to keep abreast of developments in the exhibition, which will be regularly published on the site www.gioiellodentro.it. The organization will send to all members of the list the relevant communication and any changes that were made to this announcement. It is recommended to provide a real e-mail address, add the email to your address book info@gioiellodentro.it and consult daily.
CONSENT
The decisions of the Jury are final and unappealable. The selected artists have the right to renounce the exhibition without asking the contemporary association Gioiellodentro for any form of compensation. Each candidate grants to the contemporary association Gioiellodentro permission to photograph the works sent for the event and the rights of photographic reproduction, graphics and video of the works and texts released for the purpose of the registration and publication of the works on the websites and other forms of communication and activities of the organizer.
The photographs taken by the photographer of the contemporary association Gioiellodentro are owned by the photographer.
The personal data is collected only for the carrying out of the activities required by law and their provision is required for participation in this event.
COMMUNICATIONS
The person concerened retains the rights assigned to it by the privacy code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and in particular, have the right to request the update, rectification or integration of data, to oppose for legitimate reasons the processing of data that concern him. Participation in the event implies the knowledge and total acceptance of these Regulations.
